Got this link on facebook this morning, sounds like a lot of fun, but expensive! They mention the roller coaster and are even offering a ride pass for a day, so i'm assuming the plans of having it running are looking good? Lets hope!

PRS Field Trips is pleased to announce that Field Trip #8 will take place June 6 – 8th, 2010 at the Hotel Conneaut, as seen on the “Paranormal State” season four episode, “Dead Legends.” During PRS’ initial three-day stay in July 2009, the crew slept in the hotel and investigated the alleged hotspots for paranormal activity. According to staff and locals, the hotel is haunted by three tragic spirits – a bride who was burned alive, a little boy who fell to his death, and a butcher who was stabbed. PRS considers Hotel Conneaut to be an extremely active spot for paranormal activity. And now, PRS will return to Hotel Conneaut with a troop of Field Trippers to help uncover additional secrets.

Field Trippers will get to check-in at Hotel Conneaut for the three-day event, giving the ultimate 24/7 experience. Members of PRS, as well as guest investigators and speakers will be around to give tours, lectures, bonfire discussions and conduct ghost hunts. Field Trippers will also get to attend the amusement park on Day One, which is located on the hotel grounds.

Field Trip 8: Hotel Conneaut promises to be one of the most ambitious group PRS events yet, with thought-provoking lectures, thought-form experiments, bonfire chats, haunted boat rides, amazing paranormal legends and more!

For a list of events, please see below! Full FIELD TRIP 8 website will go live on Thursday, February 25th, 2010.

I'm attending this event and was curious if anyone knew where I could obtain a layout of the hotel or any info on the supossed hauntings? I'm also interested in the Barber's Cementery though it is not included in the event.

Any help?

I'm not sure you can get to the cemetary any more....if it's the one I'm thinking of...it's been years since I've been back there, and found it by accident when hunting one day...it was all overgrown back then....if I get a chance, I'll drive back there and see if you can still see it from the road...it's not too hard to find, if you know the area...

for the record, there are no recorded deaths in the hotel...certainly not a bride burned alive....the hotel was closed for the season when it burned...thats not to say it's not inhabited by spirts, I worked there one year during the off season, painting in the hotel, and let me tell you, there is something there, and every time I "felt" it, I got the immediate impression it was a young female...as I said before, I'd sleep outside in the rain before I'd sleep in the hotel...you guys are messing with stuff you don't understand...

Over the decades, i've stayed in the hotel countless times, generally in one-week trips.
Love the place.
Does it have spirits, ghosts or other things? I think it might. if you think of all the people that have stayed there, happienss and sadnesses they'd felt, I don't think it's impossible for some to their energy to be maintained there.

Have I seen anything unually? No.
Felt anything strange: Yup...

It isn't the dead we need to be afraid of...

Thank you everyone for the replies.

I haven't watched the Paranormal State episode myself but my general understanding is that the cast determined the "hauntings" at the hotel to be thought form related. (Since people believe the hotel is haunted, this mental energy manifests physically.)

Also in theory, since people go to the hotel seeking a paranomral experience, there could be spirits not associated with the hotel who linger for the attention, for lack of a better word.

I'll definitely check out the book.
