I was hoping they would have wanted the park to be lively and operational for this movie. Perhaps lending money to help rebuild or fix up some of the rides. But it seems as if the recent problems of the park are actually what they are looking for. Does anyone know if the movie is going to pay the park for filming at the location? This could be really helpful.

Yes, they are being paid, but the amount has not been announced.

I would think it has to since the park belongs to the people.

"Through the movie’s plot line, father and son walk a dangerous road in a post-apocalytic world where cities have been destroyed, plants and animals have died and every scrap of food has been plundered. The few surviving humans who roam this wasteland have turned to cannibalism, according to the film’s synopsis. The epic adventure follows their quest for survival as they make their way toward the sea in the hope of finding safety and other surviving “good people.”
They'll filming around the burnt-out ballroom...
i guess that fits their theme.
Silver lining, anyone????
PS: I just read to other post of about the Ultimate Trip building collapse. Granted, this building was pretty much condemned, but I can't help but wonder. _________________ Proud CLP patron since 1968

Per the Erie Times News, the crew will be at the Park on May 2 and 3 to film 8 scenes. They will be in Erie later this week with a crew of 75-100 to film 6 days, and then go to Conneaut Lake. Its a closed set and sounds like security will be tight. The article also mentions a crew of 1 has been at the Park since 4/9 constructing sets and camera stands.
