|
|
I heard on the radio this morning that the ballroom caught fire around 3:30 AM and that flames could be seen shooting from 100 feet in the air. Per the report, the building is a total loss.
This is truly a sad day. I feel like the heart of the park has been torn out. _________________ KW Gor_y Park Team Member

What a bunch of Bull S@#T. Does anyone know how this happened, Most likely it was some kids that don't care about anything. Why is it that old amusement parks a target for arsen. This really makes me mad, if it was arsen. Or could it be for insurance? what do you think? |

why couldnt it have been something like the free act lawn stage or the funhouse that doesnt get used and is falling apart. There is no way in a decade would they ever be able to rebuild the ball room down to the skeeball. If the park would go into foreclosure, i hope that someone would buy the park, fix it up, and run it the way it should be run instead of to make a profit for ones self or stealing money. And i hope that no one would buy it with stupid intentions for example of putting up condo's. _________________ Long Live Conneaut Lake Park

Imagine that the fire was of undetermined origin. Funny how the ballroom, in the middle of the midway in the middle of the night with nobody around and with the electric shut off just burst into flame. Also unusual is the fact that it is the one part of the park that could spell the end because the maintenance dept. was located in that building. \
Anyone what to buy a condo or new home on the lake front where the park used to stand. I'll bet you will be able to pretty soon |

This crossed my mind as well. Isn't this pretty close to the land that was being considered for sale last year? |
